Luscombe Music
has an on-site repair shop equipped to handle brass and woodwind
repairs, major overhauls, instrument cleaning, repad work
and more. Kurt Sterling, an accomplished brass and woodwind
repair specialist, has worked with musicians from all over
the Chicagoland area. He has been a part of Luscombe’s
team for many years. Kurt (fondly referred to as the Horn
Medic) has been in the business for over 25 years. Working
for Giardinellies Band Instrument Company and Sam Ash has
given Kurt hands-on experience to develop his expertise. His
clients have included Sonny Stitt, Gerry Mulligan, Roland
Kirk, Stan Getz, and Jackie McLean – to name a few.
Luscombe Music
partners with Cassandra Thuneman, a certified string repair
technician. Cassandra has worked with fine string instruments
